There's a distant thought on the horizan
I don't think I let you in on it yet
It's the kind of lovely thing I keep to myself
But if you lean a little closer I'll let you know--
See that red moon there to the left?
That glowing scarlet orb just hanging in place?
Everywhere its maroon rays caress
Is a place that my heart can reach out to
And do you see yourself as I do now
Bathed in gentle orange light dancing across?
That red moon there has joined me here
On the hood of this old beat up car--
Tonight I get this funny urge to shed my skin
And dance beneath my beautiful red moon
I'd love to let myself go and be at peace...
But I don't know if you'd join me there
